First Blog Post

Why did you choose this course and what inspires you to do it?
The reason I have chosen SRC's Film and TV course is because of social media such as YouTube which give millions of people the freedom to create their own films of series where larger companies such as universal their ideas for their films which are big in production. The main films that inspire me to create my own comes from the 'Alien' franchise and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' which are both towards the Sci-Fi genre, this is because of the way the have been developed and advertised on the local television.

What are you most looking forward  too?
The main thing I am looking forward too do in my course is getting the chance to create my own videos and helping U-Films with their social media, Some good things that would be joyous is using the Dolly tracks and crane as it helps create a more interesting composition, as well as working along side the actors who would be staring in the videos.

What kind of things are you anxious or worried about?
Some problems I am worried about is the choosing the actors and how reliable they are because during filming the lack of actors can lead to the video not being filmed and if the acting is bad it could lower the quality of the video which means the video might not be used.

Another thing I am worried about is the quality of the equipment (and I don't mean resolution) because if someone uses the equipment and doesn't charge it, it could ruin a shoot and could possibly also lower the quality of the video. Another issue with the equipment is how well the crew looks after it and avoiding and accidents that could happen with the crew and equipment such as knocking the camera and tripping over loose wires on set.

 Future careers
Once I've finished college I am hoping to maybe get a job with ITV or making my own shortfilms.
